This is a page about phone abuse. Despite Do-Not-Call, 
one can get a lot of unwanted calls. 
Questionable charities calling to raise money, 
political calls during election cycles, 
and now, recently, collection calls looking for former 
residents of my address, but calling my number which 
the former residents never owned!

First it was Iowa Revenue calling for other persons 
who had my address before me, but calling a number 
registered to me. 

Next it was an out of state collection 
agency looking for other persons who apparently lived 
here before, but, again, did not have my number!
Apparently both looked up my phone record and transposed 
it to name and address records of former residents. 
The only common element being the street address!

I  cannot even find a discussion of this happening on 
the web,  the closest being people using a recycled 
phone number, but, in my case, a recycled street address 
and overreaching computer programs connecting my phone 
number to other persons who never used it!

No, Guy Mitchell and Travis Remington do not live here 
with me, or share this phone number!

I have reported these calls to www.donotcall.gov but,
apparently little action is actually taken on such 
violations. One may have to resort to a civil suit!
